Nascot Lawn provides short breaks for children with complex health needs and learning disability.
The unit occupies the ground floor of a large Victorian house in a residential area of Watford and children’s accommodation includes four two-bedded rooms, two bathrooms, a sitting room, conservatory and a large sensory room. Our gardens include a sensory area and are large and fully accessible to children who use wheelchairs. We are able to care for children who have a learning disability with associated physical and complex health needs.
We aim to provide high standards of care to all of the children who stay at Nascot Lawn. We believe that excellent quality respite care should enable families to take a break from the demands of looking after their child. They can be secure in the knowledge that he/she is being well cared for and that their emotional and physical needs are being fully met by a caring and familiar team. We believe above all else that each child or young person should be treated and respected as an individual, irrespective of any disability they may have.
Staff strive to provide the child or young adult with excellent emotional and physical care during their stays along with activities which they enjoy.
