Support your child's emotional wellbeing this Spring

With exams around the corner and as Stress Awareness Month continues, we’re reminding parents and adolescents in Hertfordshire can now book onto our free virtual workshops to get support with their or their child’s emotional wellbeing.

Delivered by our children’s wellbeing practitioners, these one-off emotional wellbeing and mental health workshops offer early support for children and young people aged five to 19 who attend school in Hertfordshire or are registered with a Hertfordshire GP. The sessions cover a range of topics, including developing your child’s emotional literacy, supporting self-esteem and resilience, improving sleep, and practical strategies for managing and regulating emotions.

Workshops are available during the daytime and evenings and last between 90 minutes and two hours. Each session is delivered by two experienced practitioners, who are on hand to answer questions and share further advice and resources. No referral is needed to attend – families can simply sign up.

The next session takes place on Tuesday (21 April) at 6pm and focuses on general emotional wellbeing and regulation tips for parents and carers. Further sessions will cover sleep, emotional literacy, and supporting your child’s self-esteem and resilience.

The workshops are free to attend. Child-focused workshops are for parents, while adolescent workshops are open to teenagers and/or their parents.

Stress Awareness Month is an annual campaign held every April, dedicated to increasing public understanding of stress, its causes, effects and management strategies.
