RCN strike action 2023

The Royal College of Nursing logo and white text on a dark grey background:

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has confirmed official strike action is planned for 18 and 19 January.

These dates are for organisations where their RCN members have voted to strike, and have also been identified by the RCN to participate. Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) has not been identified by the RCN to take part in strike action on these days. However, should further strike action days take place HCT may be selected to participate.

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) have announced two further dates for strike action - Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 February 2023. HCT has not been identified by the RCN to participate on these dates.

As no strikes are happening in our area we expect all our services to be running as usual. Please continue to attend your appointments unless contacted by us to reschedule.

The RCN has published a list of organisations taking strike action on 18 and 19 January.

People who need care should continue to come forward regardless of any action taking place, especially in emergency and life-saving cases. If you are unsure about what to do contact NHS 111 on line for help and advice, call 999 if it is a life-threatening or an emergency.
