Christmas Jumper Day 2025
Christmas spirit was well and truly alive last week at HCT, and what a fantastic day it was!
Staff across the organisation pulled on their most festive knits and accessories to support a wonderful cause, bringing colour, cheer, and plenty of smiles to the workplace.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and donated so generously. Your kindness and support help HCT NHS Charity continue to make a meaningful difference to patients, staff, and services across our communities.
Every donation, big or small, is truly appreciated.
A big round of applause to our best dressed team CYP Neurodiversity Referral Team.
Their brilliant jumpers and infectious enthusiasm truly stood out.
As we reflect on another successful Christmas Jumper Day, we want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to working together again in the year ahead.

Staff Wellbeing service
In response to feedback from staff about the challenges of accessing health advice during the working day. The staff and wellbeing service was set up and funded by HCT NHS Charity.
Senior nurses provide 20- minute appointments for teams across the organisation to offer checks for:
- Blood pressure
- Weight
- Cholesterol.
The sessions are accessible, confidential, provide advice and support signposting to other services such as primary care, the Professional Nurse Advocate service and much more.
As a result of attending the clinics, three staff were identified with high blood pressure warranting same day GP appointments. Undiagnosed hypertension is a high-risk factor for staff members.
Feedback from our staff members
“I am very grateful to the wellbeing clinics that have been put on at HCT as it gave me a kick start to do something, I had no idea my blood pressure was so high, the nurse suggested I track my blood pressure for a few days, which was helpful when I saw my GP, I was prescribed blood pressure tablets”.
“I wasn’t aware that I had high cholesterol which was picked up and I was given advice on how to try to bring this down”.
