National Apprenticeship Week 2023 - Have you considered an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are a great way to combine practical training working for Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust alongside “ off the job” study at a local University or college.

February 6th -13th is National Apprenticeship Week and we are taking this opportunity to highlight some of the opportunities that are available to people we are already working in HCT.

Apprenticeships can support you to:

  • Become more confident and competent in your new role
  • Develop skills and knowledge to apply for your next role
  • Achieve the entry requirements for application to undergraduate degree or degree apprenticeships
  • Become qualified as a registered nurse or Allied Health Professional

We offer a range of apprenticeship opportunities for clinical and admin staff. The right apprenticeship for you depends upon your career aspirations, your existing academic qualifications and the time you have available for study.

Currently we offer apprenticeships for our staff in Healthcare Support Working, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Podiatry, Nursing Associate, and Business Admin.

We will shortly be advertising for Podiatry apprentices. If you are interested in a career in Podiatry, you can find out more about this exciting profession at https://www.healthcareers.nhs.uk

To find out more about career opportunities in HCT, which can lead to apprenticeship opportunities, you can view our vacancy page.
