A new year can be a great opportunity to learn new techniques to support emotional wellbeing and build healthy coping skills for everyday life.
Parents and adolescents in Hertfordshire can now book onto our free virtual workshops, designed to support emotional wellbeing and address issues such as anxiety, sleep and self-esteem.
Delivered by our children’s wellbeing practitioners, these one-off emotional wellbeing and mental health workshops offer early support for children and young people aged five to 19 who attend school in Hertfordshire or are registered with a Hertfordshire GP. The sessions cover a range of topics, including developing your child’s emotional literacy, supporting self-esteem and resilience, improving sleep, and practical strategies for managing and regulating emotions.
Workshops are available during the daytime and evenings and last between 90 minutes and two hours. Each session is delivered by two experienced practitioners, who are on hand to answer questions and share further advice and resources. No referral is needed to attend – families can simply sign up.
The next session takes place this Thursday (8 January) at 6pm and focuses on developing your child's emotional literacy. Further sessions will cover sleep, emotional literacy, general emotional wellbeing, and supporting your child’s self-esteem and resilience.
The workshops are free to attend. Child-focused workshops are for parents, while adolescent workshops are open to teenagers and/or their parents.
