Muscle weakness in children can be caused by a variety of reasons and strengthening exercises may be useful in overcoming this. Strengthening exercises can help to improve posture, reduce pain, improve gait pattern, aid recovery from surgery or injury and improve functional skills or performance in activities. The following exercise programmes give a variety of ideas for general strengthening. Specific strengthening exercises will be guided by your therapist.
