Appointments at Herts and West Essex MIU for next two days
Herts and Essex Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) will be offering appointments to patients for the next two days on Wednesday 5 July and Thursday 6 July 2023. Patients should still come to the MIU as normal but will be assessed first and then offered an appointment which may be at a later time on the same day.
Patients coming to the MIU should only attend for the following reasons:

Minor impact injuries

Sports injuries
-
Dressings and stitches – not removal
-
Fractures
-
Lacerations
-
Penetrating foreign bodies
-
Burns
-
Whiplash
-
Abscesses
-
Bites and stings
Once the MIU has allocated all of the appointments available, patients will be advised to either contact their GP, or call 111 for further advice.
