Musculoskeletal Triage Service (East & North Hertfordshire)

About the Service

Notice regarding the service during Covid-19:

During the current Covid-19 pandemic the Musculoskeletal Triage Service is still accepting referrals from primary care.

However in line with current national guidance at present the service is only able to process urgent and priority referrals, we are reviewing this regularly as NHS guidance is updated.

For reassurance, we continue to screen all referrals received and will retain all current routine referrals until we are in a position to resume this element of the service again. We will be in contact with you as soon as we can and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Triage Service is a specialist assessment service for patients with conditions that affect the bones, joints and muscles - collectively known as musculoskeletal conditions.

The purpose of the MSK Triage Service is to assess and diagnose complex musculoskeletal conditions and signpost patients to the most appropriate treatment, as quickly as possible.
