This service provides anticoagulation testing for patients in North Hertfordshire who are on Warfarin blood thinning treatment and who require regular blood checks to ensure that their warfarin dose is correct. Patients are tested at different frequencies depending on their individual needs and health conditions.
Testing is carried out in community clinics at GP practices and via home visits when required. Patients are then contacted by the service with advice on any changes to their medication dose.
