Trust wins bid for School Age and Community Immunisation Services

The contract for School Age and Community Immunisation Services (SAIS) across Hertfordshire has been awarded to HCT.

Trust wins bid for School Age and Community Immunisation Services

The commissioned service brings together a number of immunisation programmes for school age children and young people as defined under the Public Health Functions Agreement: Seasonal Influenza for Children (Flu) (age range four to 10, reception to Year 5), Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) (age range 12 to 13, Year 8 girls), Td-IPV Teenage (school leaver booster) (age range 13 to 14, Year 9), Meningitis ACWY (age range 13 to 14, Year 9).

The process to submit the winning bid began in summer 2017. Bids were evaluated by a panel with a variety of subject matter expertise, which included a young person representative.

NHS England has awarded the contract to HCT for a maximum period of four years.

Delivery of the new contract will begin from the start of the next academic year beginning 1 September.
