HPFT CEO Tom Cahill, Hemel Hempstead MP The Rt. Hon Sir Mike Penning, and HCT Acting CEO Clare Hawkins outside the Marlowes Health & Wellbeing Centre.

Last Friday 11 May, The Marlowes Health and Wellbeing Centre was officially opened by The Rt. Hon Sir Mike Penning, MP for Hemel Hempstead.

Joining him was our Acting CEO Clare Hawkins, Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust CEO Tom Cahill plus invited guests, including staff and members of the local community. The opening was a fantastic celebration. It represents the huge benefits that can be achieved by the NHS, working in close partnership, which can then be delivered to the local community.

The new centre has already been providing around 20 community, mental and physical health services for adults and children since March. The West Herts Integrated Diabetes Service is also available at the centre as well as sexual health services provided by Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

The plaque for the Marlowes Health & Wellbeing Centre is unveiled.

It is also planned to offer space to third parties, including other healthcare providers and voluntary organisations. Permission also exists to allow evening and weekend openings.
