Stevenage Integrated Community Team receives Pride of Stevenage award

Every year the Stevenage Borough Council hosts the Pride of Stevenage Awards. This year’s Pride of Stevenage Awards, which took place virtually on 24 October, had their award categories changed to honour those who supported local people during COVID-19.

We are very pleased that our Stevenage Integrated Community Team is the winner of the Best COVID Healthcare Heroes category, for making a huge difference to the lives of members in the local community who have health challenges.

The Stevenage Integrated Community Team is one of our many community nursing teams all over Hertfordshire, consisting of a wide range of staff including nurses and Allied Health Professionals e.g. physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nutritionists, etc. who visit patients every day in their own homes to deliver care. This multi disciplinary team care has proven to be life saving during COVID-19, especially due to so many people obligated to stay at home for their safety with many NHS services operating at a reduced capacity. This dedication to high quality care shown by the team while working under pressure helped earned them the Pride of Stevenage 2020 award.

Congratulations to our Stevenage Integrated Community Team for receiving this award, and thank you to Stevenage Borough Council for hosting the event. You can view the Pride of Stevenage Awards, including a film featuring our Stevenage Integrated Community Team, here.
