Neurological services are being improved and modernised by a local healthcare trust.

Neurological services get new modern base

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) proposes moving services presently provided at the Jacketts Field Centre in Abbots Langley to Langley House, Garston. It will mean patients benefit from a fresh new modern facility.

The new specialist service will benefit patients, through more cooperation between inpatient specialists and community staff based at Langley House. This holistic care approach to treatment will enhance and improve patients’ overall experience.

Building work is presently underway at Langley House and it is due to be completed and ready for use in March 2016. HCT will be contacting all patients concerned to let them know about the plans and the trust is keen to hear views on the proposals.

Marion Dunstone, HCT’s Associate Director of Operations, said: “These plans willenable us to continue to deliver an excellent service for patients but inmore suitable, modern surroundings and I very much hope the local community will embrace the new facilities we will be offering.”
