Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust’s ‘You’re talented, we’re great’ campaign, has been shortlisted in this year’s Healthcare People Management Association (HPMA) awards, under The HSJ Strategic Recruitment Award category.
The award recognises well-planned, well-designed and well-executed work that has helped healthcare organisations to achieve their recruitment goals.
Ruth Griffin, Human Resources Business Partner at the Trust, said: “This is the icing on the cake for the Trust. We boosted the number of nurses appointed to double figures in a matter of months.
“A lot of work went into the planning and continuous promotion of this campaign. We are delighted with its success and aim to build from it.”
To help promote the adverts, the Trust tapped into the selfie craze through social media. People were encouraged to take a selfie with the adverts in London tube stations and submit them to @CareersHCT where there was a chance to win a £30 retail voucher.
Ruth said: “We are competing with a lot of other Trusts to recruit nurses so we need to stand out from the crowd. The selfie idea worked very well and kept up the campaign’s momentum.”
The Trust will find out if it has won the award during a ceremony at the Park Plaza Riverbank London hotel on Thursday June 30.
