Make your voice heard over plans to change health services at Tring Clinic.

Brew over NHS service changes

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust will host a coffee session on Thursday December 10 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm for people to drop-in and discuss the proposals made.

The aim is to move various services from Tring Clinic to Gossoms End in Berkhamsted, enabling staff to work closer together coordinating services to meet people’s needs.

Julie Hoare, Director of Operations, said: “We want to continue to provide our patients with the best care possible and to do this we need to make sure our services are in the right location with access to great facilities.

“We are also faced with the increased pressures of providing healthcare for a population that is living longer and with more complex conditions. To ensure our services are sustainable for the future we need to make tough decisions now that will help the Trust to save money and  provide accessible, responsive high quality and high value healthcare across Hertfordshire.

“Before any final decisions are made we are engaging with service users and the general public so they can tell us what matters to them. I encourage people to come along to our coffee session to find out more.”

If anyone is unable to attend the coffee session and would like to have a say on the proposals, a feedback form or online survey can be found by clicking here along with further information about changes planned.

Proposals for Tring Clinic include:

  • Children’s eye care: To move weekly clinic which runs on Thursday to Gossoms End

  • Lymphoedema Service: To move the fortnightly clinic on a Thursday to Gossoms End

  • Children’s Speech and Language clinic: To move the weekly clinic on Thursday to Gossoms End. This service will continue to support children in school and in addition will continue to hold a drop-in session at Gossoms End once-a-month.
