Podiatrists have been recognised for providing excellent services to people with learning disabilities.

The podiatry team at the Queensway Health Centre in Hatfield receives a purple star award.

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust’s podiatry team at the Queensway Health Centre in Hatfield, are celebrating after receiving a purple star award from Hertfordshire County Council. It recognises the hard work and commitment of staff to make sure the service meets the health and wellbeing needs of people with a learning disability.

Jayne Morgan, Podiatry Clinical Service Lead at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, said: “As a service we are immensely proud of this award. Staff have worked hard to produce easy read leaflets and guides that are required to meet the standards.

“Queensway Health Centre is one of our main podiatry clinics with another 25 clinics across Hertfordshire. Our next step is to get all sites accredited with the purple star award.”
