Arrangements for visiting our inpatient units

The national guidance on visiting arrangements for hospital inpatient units has now been revised to allow limited visiting. Arrangements for visitors to our inpatient units are now as follows:

  • Visiting hours are between 2pm and 7pm each day
  • Only one visitor is allowed per patient
  • Visits will be restricted to 30 minutes only
  • All visits must be prearranged with the ward – visitors will be asked to contact the ward to agree a time slot
  • A maximum of three visitors will be permitted on any ward at any time

To prevent and control the spread of infection, the following additional requirements will be in place for all visitors:

  • Anyone who may be experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 will not be allowed to visit
  • All visitors will be required to wear a face mask or face covering, gloves and apron (personal protective equipment)
  • Social distancing guidance must be adhered to in all other areas of the hospital
  • All visitors must use hand washing facilities/alcoholic hand gel when entering and leaving the wards
  • All personal protective equipment (PPE) must be disposed of appropriately before leaving the ward

This guidance is subject to review and we will update it if necessary.
