New Born Observations (NBO)

Between days 10 and 14 after the birth of your baby your health visitor will arrange to visit you at home. During this visit you and your health visitor will look closely at your baby’s behaviour to see what they are able to tell you and what they need to help them adapt to their new environment.

We hope that understanding your baby’s behaviour and responding to their needs will enhance your relationship and your sense of confidence as a parent.

What is the NBO?
