  • Develop an understanding of colourful semantics as an approach to support language development
  • Understand the benefits of using colourful semantics and which children this approach is suitable for
  • Learn how to use the colourful semantics approach with a range of practical activity ideas [and opportunities to practise using the system]
  • Consider how to apply the approach in the classroom.

  • Identify whether a child may have a difficulty with vocabulary learning and/or word finding
  • To explore how we learn and store new vocabulary
